I would like to add olives as a fat option for my Zone plan. The food blocks refer to 5 olives = 1 block of fat. Are we talking the canned black olives, or the olives you find at an olive bar which are substantially larger. Thx!

Don't be so concerned about fat the real place to obsess is with the quality of your carbs.

Here are to good resources
http://www.thepaleodiet.com/
http://www.glycemicindex.com/
Both will integrate with the zone

Cheers

The canned, pitted black olives from Trader Joe's do the trick for me.

Darrell, just had that exact olive last night, well two of them. It was at the bottom of a hour shaped glass with about 3 oz of Tito's vodka, straight from the freezer...shaken with ice, with a small splash of the olive juice. Got some good fats in, sort of proud of myself.
