Unhappy Lats pain - muscle weakness

Hello everybody,

First of all thank you for your time reading not your problems and trying to help. I have searched for a long time and asked not in one place, but never got close to answer about my problem. Been to a doctor, he sent me to another one - the appointment is not possible now. I wonder what people of crossfit community think.

So to start with I train bodyweight and on the time I got the injury my main focus was on pull up bar exercises/variations. To be very specific I think I received my injury while training Front lever without proper warm up and by over tensing the muscle maybe.

Front lever:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xb5EuzqU2jU

First of all I noticed I have more pain in my lats. The pain seemed normal, like usual muscle pain after good workouts, but then i noticed my strength was decreasing. And in 3months, even tho i was working out my max pull up count went from 30 to 15 and max series x10 count went from 15 to 5 MAX and its not getting any better. I tried doing pause, putting all sorts of cream, it seems I feel fine after 2-3 days, the muscle is not sore in any way, I can do dips pushups whatever but not pull ups. When I do them it seems my muscles in the upper lats/shoulder blades/ shoulders are already tired and very tensioned.

There is a point which when pressed hurts on both sides of the lats. It where lats mmeet the shoulder blade. The pain is gone when the muscle "soreness" is gone. If I raise my hands up i can feel a click in my back somewhere around my shoulder blades every time I raise them. Sometimes I get random pain/discomfort for a short time when i turn fast or when i raise my arm fast. I does not seem that the muscle has been torn but I really have no idea what it is as it seems im fine after few days but one I get on a pull up bar it seems im super weak...

Anyone get any idea what it could be? I'm going to do some rebilitation after new year - massages, stretches, physiotherapy, any advices on that as well?

My conclusion is that some should blade little muscle is over tensed/damaged or maybe some muscle does not relax and it causes this feeling. But that is just a wild guess..

Sport is my life so this really bothers me... Ask any question if needed.

Went from 30 to 15 pull-ups when working out? That amount of weakness is weird. What type of doctor did the first want you to see and why did you not go?

Re: Lats pain - muscle weakness

I think it all relates to this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snapping_scapula_syndrome

and because my subscapular muscle has inflamation/ is too weak my pectoralis major and lattisimus dorsi is being overtensioned on pull ups, therefore i have this feeling, and they simply burn 2-3 days because they get damaged more than usual. I found some exercises to streghten my subscapularis and I will try to see where it leads, cant do harm. Push ups plus, resistance band and stretches should all benefit as rehab. I think during my pull up bar workout i developed inequalities in muscle strength, maybe that could be the problem?

I went to a doctor orthopede-traumatolog (dunno how to spell it right in english) and he sent me to another one who is specialised towards shoulder injuries, but its holidays and i not seeing him and going to sanatorium for all sorts of procedures.
