2012 Adidas Adipower WL Shoes

I was browsing a few coaches' profiles looking for Nationals updates (my live feed crapped out unfortunately ) and I came across these on John Broz's page. They're the replacement to the Adistars for the 2012 Olympic Games. Cost will be the same as the old Adistars, $200, and they likely won't be available till after the Olympics. Thoughts?

Since Nike did the plastic heel, everyone's jumping on it now. They do look cool though.

I believe your old do-wins have a fixed 1.5" heel height. That's pretty darn high!

My friends, Mike Cerbus and Phillip Schnieder, both got a pair and they said they are comparable to the old adidas shoes and that they feel more comfortable than the old adidas shoes.

Talking to Adidas they will be avail on the web site Jan 15, 2012 for 200$. They are Adidas answer to the Nike's but as light as the reeboks. Soooooo. Get an Oly shoe, a real oly shoe thats light? I am in.

Who said anything about 2009?

Since Reebok and Adidas are really the same entity- there would be no point in both brands have a pure Oly shoe when the market is so limited.

Obviously the Reebok shoe is a hybrid for Crossfit and the Adidas is a conventional oly lifting shoe comparing them is pretty weak.

Re: 2012 Adidas Adipower WL Shoes

It's funny cause the Q3 2012 Adidas catalog I got a few days ago has pics that were clearly taken at a CF gym, but there really wasn't much for cf'ers in it (in terms of training shoes). lol
