recommendation for stopwatch?

I only need basic stopwatch function, but am looking for the following features:
good design--non-faulty, easy-to-press buttons that don't stick
replaceable battery--not disposable
cheap--below $30
countdown timer
clock--with alarm and calendar, ideally

Also wouldn't be bad if it had these features too:
durability--water and/or shock resistance
large display
backlight

Any suggestions?
Thanks!

I bought a ROBIC brand stopwatch from Rogue for under $30. Very durable, seems of high quality too.

Another thing to look for is button placement. I have a cheap wrist stopwatch. Sometimes when I do WODS I look down to see that something has pressed one of the buttons and it either has reset a lap timer or stopped.

Things like push-ups, especially clapping, screw with just about any wristwatch timer. I recommend not using one, or taking it off and using it. (Start it, wait 5 seconds, or 10, subtract said amount off the end when finished.)

Re: recommendation for stopwatch?

Since this is just for personal/home use, it seems the cheapest and simplest solution would be for me to do what I used to do, which was just use a wristwatch with the strap removed so that it can lay flat. The buttons and display aren't particularly large, but wristwatches usually have all of the other features and are fairly easy to operate.

Is this an option?

Great reviews from Amazon. I'm picking one up myself. I hate using my expensive phone near where I'm swinging KBs & doing thrusters and my watch isn't loud enough (and often gets buttons pushed accidentally) as others mentioned.

I've been using Accusplit stopwatches for years.

They've got a lot of watches. The pro survivor series is an excellent basic stopwatch (but lacks a countdown timer). They do have others that have the countdown feature, though.

Got one and I recommend it.

I got mine as a gift because I didn't see myself paying $20 for something that a Timex Ironman could do. Have to say that I'm more than pleasantly surprised. If you do a lot of interval work, this is great. It also has basic countdown and stopwatch function. It's sufficiently loud and can vibrate too.

One downside is that you need to replace batteries often. It uses a single AAA, so it's not really too inconvenient.

Also, the buttons are just a little hard to push and seem to have a slight delayed response. This is great if you're sick of accidentally pushing buttons, but a little annoying if you want quick response or more instantaneous resetting.

Finally, I wouldn't mind if it were a little less bulky or if the clip could be removable.
