3 months of crossfit

When I started crossfit in June I had a handful of goals I wanted to meet. The past to days I reached of of them. The first being running a sub 21 5k. On sunday I finished in 20:58 using only crossfit and cfe. Then today I reached my goal of completing 20 rounds during cindy. I know this is far from the firebreathers out there but just wanted to say thanks to the great community.

Greg, great job! I know it feels good. I'm in a simular situation. Started in July in the worst shape of my life and I am only using CF+CFE to get ready for the Marine Corps Marathon (Oct 25)...3-1/2 months is going to make an amazing difference.

CF is amazing and if you can manage CFE on top of that it makes a big difference to an already great program. METCON performance improvement is great!

Again, great job!

Re: 3 months of crossfit

I come from an atheletic background. Played college baseball and soccer. Use to run 5-6 days a week of 4-6 mile runs but could never break the sub 21 5k that I wanted. Started out on a typical bb split then switch to a total body weight lifting program 3x a week. About a year and a half ago started to add in some xfit but decided to make the full switch in june. When I started I could do 12 rounds of cindy. Now I xfit 3-4x a week with 2 strength days and cfe (crossfit endurance) 2-3x a week.
