Any type of coating to place on tires to prevents black hands??

Is there anytype of coating that can be sprayed or painted onto a tire to prevent the black rubber from rubbing off all over my client's clothing???

Tires serve as great additions to farmers carry, weighted sprints, overhead lunges, etc. Howver, they black rubber is ruining clients clothing. Some care, some don't. Just wanted to see if anyone knew of any type of sealer that would prevent that or if they were painted, if it would prevent that black residue.

Thanks

Not sure if this would make it worse but you could contact them and tell them the application and get their thoughts. Check out the "black tire paint"

http://www.millertire.com/repairs.asp (wfs)

If nothing else the tires would look purdy...

Not exactly what you may want, but....

Wash the tire at high pressure at the car wash and then scrub it down by hand using a high-powered cleaner containing bleach. You’ll never make a tire swing totally “clean,” but you can cut down on the filth tremendously.

http://www.landscapingideasonline.co...tire-swing.php worksafe etc

Maybe tell the client to bring an old shirt for tire work? There has to be some coating that would work, but I couldn't find any searching...

Question:

Can't you just wrap the tire with some old shirts/rags?? Hell, you might even be able to glue the shirts/rags directly to the tire.

Nobody said it has to be pretty- It just has to work.

Seems a lot easier than scrubbing and painting.

I dont know about clothes, I'd just tell them to wear old stuff for tire related WOD's...if theyre worried about the rubber residue on their hands maybe they can wear work gloves or batting gloves. I'm still sort of new to this so I'm not sure if gloves are frowned upon in Crossfit?

gloves are just frowned upon in general. unless your a baseball player or wide reciever.

for our purposes of functional fitness, there is really no need for gloves. it is a disservice to your grip strength in IMO
