SI Joint Issue?

I'm trying to self diagnose an issue I have been having and I think it may be an SI joint problem, but would love for some of the people on here who are smarter than I to offer an opinion.

I normally never know when aches and pains begin as I play different sports all the time on top of CFing, but I think I can track this one back a few weeks to when I was playing some tackle football and got gang tackled by three people and had them all land on me while I landed on the small of my back. Since then I have had hamstring tightness, especially in my right hamstring. I have also had pain in the back of my heels, again moreso on my right side. My right leg also has some hip pain and often feels as though it isn't sitting right in the hip socket. I also have some mild pain around tailbone, but again more to the right side.

Does this sound like it would all be related to an SI issue? I did try ibuprofen and ice and got some relief, but I am impatient so once it felt better I started right back in to CF and sports with full intensity (I know, I am dumb).

Re: SI Joint Issue?

It could be. It could also just be some imbalance or other muscular tightness issues. One of the ways you can tell is comparing leg length (if they were even before), a slipped SI joint tends to have one leg sit higher than the other

If you can get to a physical therapist or chiro they could probably pop it back into place for ya.

here's two vids on shotgunning your pelvis... but again, probably best to see a professional: wfs

If it was SI you should feel it pop back into place.

Re: SI Joint Issue?

Thanks Steven, I'll give those a shot tonight. I also have an appointment with my primary next week so hopefully I'll find out exactly what it is then.

Re: SI Joint Issue?

Hi Steven, I tried the movements in that second link a few times last night and this morning I am feeling a bit better today, but I was wondering if you knew of any good things to do while I am in the office all day. Sitting for almost 8 hours isn't doing it any favors I don't think. Thanks for your help!

Re: SI Joint Issue?

Well, if you're feeling discomfort it's probably a good idea to stand up and take a break... also, ,make sure you sit with correct posture all the time.

Youc an probably google stuff like this for now
