What did you Used to Hate When Out of Shape?

OK, today I was working in my garden and I suddenly remembered that I used to leave the hose (on one of those cranky rolly things) out for my husband to re-roll (like three hoses together) because it was "just too hard" for me to roll it back up. Today, I laughed after putting the hose away. What a great feeling. Ah...it's the little things.

What about you guys? Anything similar?

And is it Use to hate? or Used to hate? ROFL

It's "used to hate".

I have lived in 9 homes since 2000. As you can probably imagine, I discover "new" things all the time. A lot of them have been clothes I used to love. I still hate pulling out something I used to love wearing, discovering that I can no longer fit into it.

I used to hate hauling the 45 lb bag of dog food into the cart, inevitably having the cart wander away in protest just to embarrass me. Pesky carts.

I still hate rolling up the hose. Not because it's difficult, but because part of the hose comes off the reel after each half-spin, and you have to adjust it. Really annoying.

And it's "used to hate."

I still hate packing and unpacking the car for a long road trip, but now I can do it a lot faster and it doesn't hurt. I have three children and a husband and we don't pack light.

Re: What did you Used to Hate When Out of Shape?

My wife used to trick me into taking a walk by saying things like "let's walk to the bakery (or sushi, pizza, etc.) place you like 8 blocks down"

What did I used to hate when out of shape? The walk back.

Squatting down to work on my computer/car and picking things up off of the ground are so much easier now...

Yeah, I completely agree with this one, too. I used to tweak my back every once in awhile if I tried to pick up anything over 35 lbs or so off the floor. Now that I know how to lift correctly, heavy objects aren't an issue anymore.
