I am a powerlifter new to crossfit ways, and love it. I would like some feed back on my last 3 workouts.
Sat. 5-26: deadlifts 15 reps
pushups 15 reps
10 rounds for time. I went to check my split time after 5 rounds and found out i pushed wrong button at start and time wasnt running so i started time after 5 rounds and my time for last 5 rounds was 6:31. I was so mad cause i know the first 5 rounds i was making good time. I couldnt believe how hard this work out was at the halfway mark my lower back wa screaming. Almost had to lay down in parking lot on the way to my car.
Sunday 5-28: ladder dumbell c+J and pullups:
used 45lbs for dumbells.Started with 10 c+J and 1 pullup ended with 1 C+J and 10 pullups time was 15.51. My pullups are terrible. I can do 20 deadhang pullups in a row but havent gotten crossfits technique down yet.
Friday 6-1: ladder with dumbell thrusters and burpees. started with 12 reps on thrusters and 1 rep on burpees for 12 sets. 12 rounds ending with 1 rep on thrusters 12 burpees. 45 lbs with dumbells. time 13:01. If there isnt a name for this one yet id like to call it the heart attack special. My age 40 years old. height 5'4 body weight 169lbs.
I've never been big on cardio or endurrance training but after finding the crossfit website i am so hooked. The site is unbelievable and the athletes on their video's are world class.
