There is going to be a rash of short circuited keyboards from everyone drooling on them at that first picture. Great job Ahmik.

http://www.crossfit.com/discus/messages/26/35068.jpg I have been receiving several emails asking for a description or review of the rings. They are basically textured plastic rings, almost Identical in feel to the AAI Lexan rings with a wide strap. With a buckle on each end and with a D ring. The straps are 9 and a half feet long which means that you can hang the rings from about 9 feet above where you want them after taking into consideration the length of strap needed to go through the buckles and then adding in the diameter of the rings. When we tried out the samples at Weekend Warriors many people got more muscle-ups than they had previously, because it is easier to hold onto your false grip on a textured surface. People especially enjoy them for ring dips because the wide straps are very comfortable on your arms. You can put the buckle anywhere you want on the straps so you can have the buckles away above your arms for dips and muscle-ups. They are easy to put up and take down by looping them over a bar. Once the strap is through the buckle once, it holds, but is easy to adjust. Once you have them right, you just loop them through the buckle a second time and then put it back through again to lock them down. Kind of like the buckles on climbing harnesses. The D rings are also nice if you want to hang them permanently as in the pictures above, or have them adjusted to the length you want them and want to just use a carabiner to attach and detach them quickly. They also added some nice touches such as elastic straps to hold down the extra webbing, and a mesh bag to carry them around in. http://www.crossfit.com/discus/messages/26/31791.html (Work Family Safe) is a link to our experience with them at Weekend Warriors as well as The Martin's experience with them at Brand-X. Several of the CrossFit affiliates are Power Max Dealers and may be able to save you some money on rings, so if you are interested in getting some it is worth your time to do a search on the message board for a list of Power Max Dealers. |
