Here is one I tried out yesturday. 3 sets
30-20-10

30# dumbell man-makers
bodyweight benchpress

It was a fun one

I did it in 14min 29sec.

I will call this one "Mom" fun but tough.

Re: Man-makers and Bench

Hey there - I might have asked this before in a different forum but what is a man-maker?

Thanks
Travis

Re: Man-makers and Bench

Travis,

Manmakers are basically burpees with a DB in each hand. Pick up the DB's, drop down into push up position, do a push up, then do a single arm DB row on each side while still in the plank position (and with as little body rotation as possible), stand up and complete the move with a shoulder press at the top. That's one rep of joy...

Start light, the move can really take the starch out of you quick. Great exercise though. I am looking forward to trying Travis' new WOD.

Re: Man-makers and Bench

Thanks Ian!

I don't want to take credit for the WOD - it was Josh and I'm totally with Ian on this one - I can't wait to try this one in the next couple of weeks - Josh's time sounds like something to shoot for - when I say shoot for - I mean try to get within 5-10 minutes of it!

Josh / Ian - thanks for the info/WOD!

Travis

Re: Man-makers and Bench

Ian,

Don't forget about the DB clean portion of the man-maker prior to the shoulder press. That part really adds to the suckfest.
