What model Rower is this?

What model is this? I am guessing a model C and is it worth 500 bucks?

Thanks for your help guys, I really have no clue with these rowers and I know where I used to find bargains on CL that I could never get in time, they don't even seem to be showing up anymore.

Re: What model Rower is this?

This looks like a Model "C" to me. You can verify by checking the serial number. The following information is from the Concept2 website.

Manufacture Dates

1993–July 2003
No longer in production
Main Characteristics

Color: Grey and black

Handle: Wood with black grips

Other:

* Lever on the side of the flywheel with the numbers 1–10
* Plastic footstretchers

Serial Number Information

The label containing the serial number is located between the V of the flywheel support legs and is on the bottom side of the rower.

An example Model C serial number is 082203/1. The serial number represents the date the rower was boxed (mm/dd/yy). The number following the slash indicates the day of the week the rower was boxed.

$500 is not unreasonable, imho - good luck!

That's not a bad deal. If it is in good condition and you keep it in good condition then you could probably get that when you go to sell it (if you ever do ...). Make sure that the PM2 works (bring batteries) and make sure that it has a nice smooth pull even when you pull hard. If these things seem suspect to you then offer less ... but, with a C2 - all things can be fixed.

And yes - it's a 'C'.

If interested you can check the "odometer" so to speak to see how much usage it's had. Press and hold the "ok" button while simulataneously pressing and holding the ">" (right arrow button) will display the total kilometers the machine has been used for. Multiply by 1000 for total meters. This feature is not resettable and thus shows total lifetime usage for the machine.

Re: What model Rower is this?

$500 is a good price. $400 would be a steal. I'd buy it. You can always sell it for the same price if you want to get a newer one. My first rower was a 10 year old Model C with PM-2. It had 11+ million meters rowed on it, according to the monitor. Worked great. About 8 months after I got it, I found a steal on an E with PM-4. Sold the old one for the same price I bought it for.
