Women can't do pull-ups?

There are articles out in US and Canadian Newspapers on why women "can't" do pull-ups. Thought I'd share.

Thanks. Good to know that I am not the only woman on this planet who has an issue with pull-ups.

Re: Women can't do pull-ups?

Well, it is certainly more difficult for women, but I have seen quite a few women bang out some serious strict chins...

Re: Women can't do pull-ups?

I did a few strict chest-to-bars this morning. I think that means the universe is going to revoke my uterus.

Re: Women can't do pull-ups?

My girlfriend used to do a lot of wake boarding before she got into CF and I think that might have something to do with why she's so good at pulling, but she can do about 15 strict pullups to the collar bone and the other day she did 40 straight kipping pullups.

Women can do pullups if they want...

edit: just read the article and it does say that women of "short stature" fair better, and that does apply to her.

Re: Women can't do pull-ups?

The question is why would women want to do pull-ups when there's a kitchen to keep them busy.

Ironically, my bar's also over my kitchen door. It gives me something to do while I wait for things to cook.

Coming across a bar regularly is smart thinking.
