Re: Gloves.

Sorry, I should have specified that I was referring to my girlfriend's parents specifically.

Re: Gloves.

You could go with grips or gloves. Up to you really. Try checking out the RTG CrossFit gloves of strongerRx.com. I personally have not tried them but a friend of mine said that they're hella worth being part of your gear.

Re: Gloves.

Lawrence, why have you been hawking $40 gloves for the past two weeks that you apparently have not actually tried?

I only wear gloves if I've torn my hands up bad enough, in that case I bring my Mechanix gloves home from work. They seem to work well enough and grip better than the gymnastics grips, at least for me. Still not as good as bare hands on steel!

Re: Gloves.

Probably because he is trying to sell them but doesn't want to come off like he is trying to sell them. He is doing it in two different threads. It's weird and annoying.

Re: Gloves.

I have found that after spending so much money on gloves over the last 3 years I just gave up. But I have discovered chalk, which my PT gave me some to try. I love it and as soon as my old gloves had split I brought some chalk. Don't waste your money on gloves buy chalk. Your going got get calluses anyway, just buy the chalk.

Re: Gloves.

I like Rip's quote from "Starting Strength", to paraphrase... if you wear gloves you better have a matching purse to go with them.

Re: Gloves.

I'll wear gloves for high reps of pull ups but rarely during lifts. A callus is not an issue for me but I need to prevent the skin tears due to work. Paramedic and open hand wounds is not a good combo.

Don't be a pansy. Didn't you hear Trevor? Rip says if you wear gloves you must also carry a purse. You don't want to be someone who has a man purse do you?
