Rest Day

-----------------------------------

Thank you baby Jesus! This rest day should give me 60 straight hours off (morning workout, day off, night work out), so maybe the soreness will go away!

Well, at least it's an improvement from where I was before I started. On the failed reps I pulled up all the way to my forehead, but got stuck there. Not a very strenuous workout today.... but for tomorrow's I think I saw tabata. Haven't had the pleasure of experiencing that yet.

Ouch. Those lunges really hurt the old quads. Every set was to failure lunging across the gym. I walked off 60 feet and did lunges 2.66 times across.

At the start of the 3rd set of sit ups, my *** started hurting - like a painful tingle maybe from rubbing on the mat. Crunches didn't hurt so bad so the last 2 sets were cheated. All of the situps were done with some swinging arms because there's no way in hell I could have done 200. Ouch.

Wrists hurt from the thrusters. Maybe could have added 10 lbs. Quick post, going to Columbus!

8 2-Pood Kettlebell swings

7 rounds as follows:

6 dips, 6 jumping pullups
150 degree pushups
8 dumbell swings (45 lbs)
Comment #344 - Posted by: GW at October 27, 2009 8:09 PM

Dips are not that hard anymore. Pullups have seen a small improvement maybe, but I still have to jump to get that many. Couldn't quite get a HSPU - next time try with wider hand placement. Dumbell swings almost killed me. Last 2 rounds I have to break up the 8 swings into 2 sets.

My first time ever jumping rope, let alone double unders. Timer started, and then I began to teach myself how to do them. The first 3 rounds took 30 minutes - then I got the hang of it. My legs, hands, and arms are full of welts!
