Re: supplements

Remember these two things and you'll be golden.

1. Real food is better than "fake" food.

2. Fake food is better than nothing!

Re: supplements

Welcome to CF, but please use the search function too.

Take a vitamin and fish oil, and eat food. You'll be fine.

Protein, creatine, multivitamin, and fish oil.

Literally everything else you can get legally is a waste of money. And you don't need to take those 4 I mentioned either. Eat big to get big, eat smart to get lean.

Don't waste your time w/ pre workout drinks/NOXplode/etc.

Like its been said- real food is better than fake food, fake is better than nothing.

Re: supplements

That's not what John said. What he said was it's better to get the things you get in these pills straight from the source.
Try Multi, fish, whey (in a pinch).

Re: supplements

You are not searching. You can't find anything searching "fish oil?" "vitamins" etc.? As a matter of fact, look below where similar threads are listed. I don't want to just say "search" all the time, but if you are looking for "explained answers" these things have been discussed a lot already.

And I'm pretty sure John agreed with me, +1.

Re: supplements

I get what you're saying but I'm usure how to answer without sounding like I'm trying to be a pr!ck. Promise i'm not, i'm new as well.
It's better to eat something that contains high amounts of protein (ie. chicken) than to put a substance that claims to have the same amount of protein (ie. shake).
As for the no-xplode comment. I used it when i was doing standard weight room lifts, 4x12 sets of bench, 4x12 sets of inclines. It was good because it got you up for the lift and it kept your heart rate/energy up. When CFing you shouldn't need any help getting your heart rate/energy up. In fact it might make you puke. I used it once before a mountain bike ride and it did infact end up on my shirt. it stains.
Hope it helps.
