brian, do you have a pre-existing 'cindy' time? if not then what is you murph time? do you know each of the split times between the 1st mile, the bw portion of the workout, and then the 2nd mile? if not then how fast do you run each mile split during the murph? i would take the two mile times then subtract them from your overall time to get your bodyweight portion time.

once you have your time for the bodyweight portion of the 'murph' divide that by 20. this will give you pace time for the last 'murph'. then i would set a goal for what time i want the BW portion of the 'murph' to take. then divide that by 20. i would take that # and make a goal to get my time down each round to match my goals.

i am sure in the beginning you will be able to crank out the rounds quick since i doubt you hit any walls for the first 5 or so rounds. but in the true crossfit spirit i would give it 110% each day. just cause your goal on average is to do each round in (x) seconds a round you will find it easier to meet that goal in the first few days then in the last few days. you might find it too easy and have to adjust your goals.

that is my approach to this.

3,2,1....GO!
So are we supposed to be timing each rounds?

I won't be able to start it tonight, I'll buy-in todays round tommorrow. Just to make sure I'm clear...

Today: 1 round
Tommorrow: 2 rounds + "buy in" 1 round (from yesterday)

Re: 20-day 'cindy' challenge (+1 rnd a day) Oct. 6th

Ted,
It looks like I got 16 involved including myself. Fastest time was 25 seconds but I questioned his Squats. I did it in 28 seconds and I dont think I could have done it faster. It will get interesting when we get up there in rounds.
And yes I was right - They had some choice words for "Apollo" LOL

you don't have to time your rounds for this challenge, but i personally like to do it for myself. and it's pretty cool when everyone post their times so you can see how you did compared to everyone else. it might push you harder?

and you have the buy-in right. so tomorrow would be 3 rounds total.

nice steven! if you can keep that pace or around 30 seconds this whole challenge i would love to see your next 'murph' time. and if they are cursing me on day one i will have to go into the fbi's witness protection plan after day 15.

day 1 - 'cindy' = 1 round

Re: 20-day 'cindy' challenge (+1 rnd a day) Oct. 6th

Being as today was my "buy-in" day, I just decided to do three rounds of cindy for time.

Time: 3:07
