Re: Chest Muscle/Strength Gain?

I'll echo what Steven and the others have said, and add this:
Ring push-ups have made a big difference in my bench press. I am also tall and thin. I started varying the angel on the ring pushups where my feet were at an elevation. Even 1 ft elevation changed my benches and regular pushups. I don't bench press every week. I alternate them with overhead presses. Eat well, and good luck.

Rings are the best FTW. Yes, Rings will get you strong very fast and make those weak areas very noticeable very soon.

Re: Chest Muscle/Strength Gain?

After I started doing ring dips about three and a half weeks ago, I didn't bench press until last Thursday. My 1rm had increased by 20 lbs (from 110% bodyweight to 125% bodyweight. Rings work as well as advertised.

I've been doing ring dips 3 times a week. Max reps three sets (one before the WOD and two after). There is something about bodyweight exercises that don't make me as sore as barbell exercises. Also, I usually listen to Steven's recommendations because he is extraordinarily well informed.
