2008 Cowtown Marathon

It's that time again.

Nice! If only it were true...

"And if there were no rewards to reap,
No loving embrace to see me through
This tedious path I've chosen here,
I certainly would've walked away by now..."

Re: 2008 Cowtown Marathon

I was checking out the feed of new posts and saw your post about the marathon. Immediately recognized those lyrics - most talented band. Ever.

Enjoy the marathon!

PS- There are so many incredible lyrics to send your way, but I chose:

"With my feet upon the ground I lose myself
between the sounds and open wide to suck it in,
I feel it move across my skin.
I'm reaching up and reaching out,
I'm reaching for the random or what ever will bewilder me.
And following our will and wind we may just go where no one's been.
We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been.

Spiral out. Keep going, going..."

A freaking religious experience with the music. Where the heck did I put my iPod??

Stay safe.

Re: 2008 Cowtown Marathon

Lateralus is the most meaningful song to me ever, had it jammin this morning. Great weather for a 26.2 mile beating. The wheels fell off at 18, and though it wasn't anywhere near my best time, it was probably the best experience.

Nice not to chase a clock for once and just live. And I figure the world won't stop turning just because I ran a 3:30 (major attitude improvement on my part here!).

Take care, ya'll.
