Re: East Coast CF Games

We'd love to make it, but we already have 6-7 competitions lined up this year, plus a wedding. $$$

One thing though - I think you'll find it hard pressed to finish the CFT in the morning if you have a decent amount of competitors.

I would suggest:

Saturday: CFT
Sunday: hopper AM / run PM

I think that will provide the least amount of "pain carryover" to each event.

Re: East Coast CF Games

Anthony,

Thanks, that's kind of what I was thinking. I've never judged lifts before and know I will need some help with it and it will probably move slowly. Do you think it makes sense to limit it to the deadlift? It's probably the easiest lift to judge, right?

I wanted to have the run on Saturday as well so Sunday doesn't go so late. A lot of people will be driving in and I wanted to give them the chance to leave at a decent time Sunday.

I think I'm going with May 31st.

Sound good?

Dates, times, intinerary, etc. It would be cool to be able to post something on our web sites.

Re: East Coast CF Games

Yeah, no reason you couldn't limit it to deadlift only.

Saturday AM - deadlift / Saturday PM - hopper
Sunday AM - run

Just pray that the hopper isn't "diane" ...

Re: East Coast CF Games

Anthony - is that just because you have a HUGE deadlift!?

Re: East Coast CF Games

Why not DL and press? You cover pulling and lower body with DL and pushing with the press. Covering these two lifts shows a person's overall strength. The press is easier to judge than the squat because ROM can't be cut short, and excessive back bend is illustrated in Rippetoe's CFT journal article.
