Tenuous?

ten·u·ous [ ténnyoo əss ]
adjective

Definition:

1. weak and unconvincing: not based on anything significant or substantial, and therefore unlikely to stand up to rigorous examination
That's an extremely tenuous argument.

2. extremely delicate and fine: thin and fine, and therefore easily broken ( literary )

3. science diluted: thin or diluted in consistency
