Weighted Pullups

Unfortunately at my current gym I do not have a pullup bar with a weight belt set.

Any suggestions on what I can do to substitute? Pullups with a towel? Anything?

Also what grip/form should I use for strict pullups? Or should I switch some up?

Use DB between your feet or knees.

You can do a slight kip or strict in pronated or supinated grip. Doesn't really matter. I think weighted pullups or dip should be strict as kipping kind of mucks up the whole idea of weighting them.

just bring in some rope or a tough rubber band and string it through some plates, and tie it round your waist. I used the DBs for a while but found tied around the waist to be more secure after a certain amount of weight. Using a backpack is a good option as well.

There is a great vid on the mainpage exercises page with lots of tips for how to do these.
