Re: Seen at the globo yesterday

I always get sad when I go to our little gym here at Camp Fallujah and I see Marines....doing about 1/4 ROM squats with like 135-85 pounds....then they get on an elliptical for like 15 minutes and never even break a sweat
And they wonder why they don't make weight as they take a shower, go to the chow hall and eat burgers, chicken wings, tacos and cake.....FOR LUNCH...(I've seen it)

Of course the ones even doing squats AT ALL are the minority, most just do the standard curls, bench etc workout...

Re: Seen at the globo yesterday

Hey Damon, yeah it was good doing "Michael" with you, and it turned out to be awesome prep for the Mid-Atlantic Hopper Challenge that was held last weekend. The morning hopper WOD turned out to be 30 reps of 1/2 BW squats followed by a mile run. I came in 5th at 7:03. It sucked, but destroyed quads are still easier to run on than a fried back and hamstrings! Sally and myself are definitely hoping to get out your way in the next 6 months.

Re: Seen at the globo yesterday

I've honestly never seen that. I've seen cops at the airport riding around on Segways, and that always bothered me because the guys on the Segway were clearly on it because they were too... rotund to walk around all day. So... they're saving their energy for that one terrorist-catching-sprint?
