rack position

I am super tight in this position, I cant get my elbows up nearly as high as i would like them. Are there any drills or stretches I can do to improve my flexibility in this area and subsequently improve my rack position?

Re: rack position

I was surfing around and found a partner stretch. With a bar racked, one person stands in the rack position. The other person puts the stretchees elbow on their shoulders and pushes up while pushing down on the bar. Make sure you both do a breath check first.

I might have found it at Catalyst Athletics. Don't fell like searching now, sorry.

That USED to be on Cal Strength's youtube channel. Can't find the link now, though. Seem to have removed them....

Re: rack position

It's just unlisted on youtube. Check the Cal-Strength site here:

http://www.californiastrength.com/olwete.html WFS

It's under the flexibility section.
