My "New Posts" search (how I usually view the boards) has just started showing me 500 posts every time I use it, from the past week or so. This happening to anyone else?

Re: New Posts
Yup happened to me, I just went in and marked all the forums as read and now it's showing me the new ones only.
Go into a forum (starting, fitness, etc...) and below the top "page count" is a drop down called forum tools, in there is "mark forum as read" |

Re: New Posts
"Mark Forums Read" is available under Quick Links and will mark everything read. This is the result of a one time change to how threads/forums are marked as read.

Re: New Posts
Just noticed this today. Maybe a change was made to the site? I assumed my browser lost its cookies. I'll try Ron's suggestion above.

Re: New Posts
Just curious: Brandon, do you use Firefox browser? And did it update itself the last day or so? I'm wondering if that's the issue. No big deal: I just tend to be a tech troubleshooting type of guy and am curious. Thanks.
Me: I use Firefox browser and it updated this morning. That seems to be when I lost the integrity of the "new posts" feature. Ron's suggested fix, of course, handled the problem immediately. |

Re: New Posts
Like I said, it was the result of a setting change to the forum software. Previously if you visited the board for any reason, say to post of WO log, 20-30 minutes later, the board would mark all of the threads since your previous visit as read. The board now tracks whether you have read a thread or forum individually, rather than relying on a timeout.
