Interesting article by that title on,1286,60046,00.html

The article profiles the Ness Foundation in Scotland which is doing research into more effective diagnostics and treatment for neurodevelopmental disorders. Much of their work is based on the role of fatty acids (lipids) in mental and physical health. They are working on breathalyzer style tests that diagnose problems with omega-3 fatty acid metabolism.

Definitely worth a look. Especially if you are like me in that you are open to the Barry Sears Omega Rx Zone message, but find the Sears persona objectionable.

Bottom line: Watch your carbs and take your fish oil pills
