Subbing Protein Blocks for Carbs?

Hey guys, i apologize if this has been discussed, but I cant find anything, only on subbing fat for carbs.
ive been xfitting for almost a year now, i do paleo, IF and eyeball the zone. I know about the subbing fat blocks for carbs, which I usually do, but I am wondering if there would be any disadvantage to subbing protein blocks for the carbs (assuming the same caloric composoition). Is the recommendation for fat only because it is very low in effecting insulin and easy to eat a lot of. in other words do people not sub protein because it is too much to eat? I am wondering because sometimes i just feel like more meat, or i dont have resources for quality fat, but do have quality meat lying around.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated,

Re: Subbing Protein Blocks for Carbs?

Hi Chris, there is a reason for not subbing protein for carbs.

This might help you understand why: (WFS)
