I've been listening to European/Scandinavian Metal (Nightwish, Sonata Arctica, Hammerfall, Dragonforce, Symphony X, etc) for years now, but i just came across a new band that's great:

Within Temptation. Female vocalist like Nightwish, but a little more poppy. Very evanescence in sound, except way better.

ps, Amon Amarth is also very good
