Today I saw a trainer doing overhead squats at my commercial gym. Perhaps he saw me doing it, Perhaps he found it on his own, perhaps intuition or divine spirit guided him. Don't know/don't care, but it was the high point of the last few weeks to see someone else doing this.

I love these moments, like the "secret handshake" kind of thing.

A little of the subject, after Sundays workout someone was talking about the way CrossFit DC is growing. He says " CrossFit, its spreading like AIDS"

Finally, a Tshirt slogan idea even I would be offended by.

I am still doing a little bit of personal training at a private studio. There are a few of us that brought in some new elements, and I always get a kick out of a couple of the other trainers that watch what I do with my clients, and then the next day (or hour) they're trying it with theirs.

Some of the ugliest kettlebell attempts ever, but at least they're using some OHS, farmer's walks, etc.

As far as questionable T-shirts, I still like the old 24 Hour Fitness quote "When the aliens come, they'll eat the fat people first."

I don't know, man, a lot of people do those lifts that have nothing to do with Crossfit. College athletes, O-lifters, etc...

Who has ever seen Multiplicity? A copy, of a copy of a copy...isn't quite right. A huge problem problem is when they hurt their clients, they will blame us.

Most trainers don't understand the commitment it takes to be good at our craft. It is nice they copy us, but they shouldn't call it CrossFit.

How cool is it going to be when we can walk into any commercial gym and hear a trainer say
"3 Rounds for time of:
400 M on the eliptical
21 leg extensions
12 preacher curls

Sad, but it may happen. What is really funny seeing trainer trying to mimic a CrossFit workout and stretching it out for a full hour.

Talk about dilution.

Are you going to be in Santa Cruz in Feb?
