About a month ago my left ankle suddenly started hurting and it began to swell and turn a little blue on the outside of the ankle. I put heat on it and didnt do any excercises that stressed it and it slowly went away.
A couple of days ago it has returned. It hurts when I try to raise my toes I get pain in the back of my foot around the achilles tendon, but the swelling is around the outside of the ankle and it hurts when I try to roll it around. The first time it started hurting I did a lot of burpees the day before and this time I had done some squats the day before.
Ive twisted/sprained my ankles a lot as a child but this pain has just popped up without warning. Any ideas on what is causing it? How to treat it? etc.?
