As long as the shoulders are active and the negative is slow, then it shouldn't be a problem, but I would get bands first. THat seems to be the quickest way to a pull up.

I definately rate the Ironmind gear, made strong to last. Been wanting to get some more gear, but with the fall of the aussie $ against the US $, priorities have been changed a little.
For me it's simple, having to spend a little more on Ironmond is acceptable, since in know the stuff will last and they have great customer service. I got a book from them which i found to be missing a page, they sent me a new copy no questions asked.
