Chase's WOD Log.....

I've been Crossfitting since the end of October 2008. I record all my WODS and results in a notebook and in an excel sheet but I'm scared I will lose them so finally decided to start a log. Crossfit has been amazing and really the only workout program I've stuck with for an extended period of time. I workout in my garage where I have the basics to do 90% of the WODS RX. I am currently 6'0" 188. Two years ago I weighted 230 and lost 40 pounds from eating healthier and running here and there but no real muscle building workouts. I coach high school baseball and we have been doing crossfit excercises this past fall for strength/conditioning to prepare for the upcoming season and have seen tremendous strength gains. That's a little info. and here's my first WOD post.

Today is my rest day
Yesterday I did the CFT for the first time since starting crossfit. Wish I would have done it when I started so I could tell how much I've improved.

Squat-265
Sh. Press- 115
Deadlift- 355
Total-735

The last time I deadlifted the most I could get 3 reps of was 305 so I was happy with 355.

Thrusters
1-1-1-1-1-1-1
I got 95-105-115-125-135-145-155 and failed on 165
Didn't really know where to start b/c I haven't done Thrusters max yet.

After that, I ran with the baseball team I coach. We did....
5 100yard sprints, 5 50's and 10 30's (length of base path)
Tweeked my right hamstring a little on the 50's...hope I'll be good for the cleans today b/c I will be doing Elizabeth today....

For the past few days I have taken a much needed break from crossfitting. I was feeling very run down and had a few nagging muscle pulls but I felt much better yesterday doing my first WOD back. However, I left my notebook at home so I will have to post my results for both yesterday and today tomorrow.
Today I am going to do Grace. I am subbing that for the 30 muscle up WOD b/c I'm a few days behind in the cycle. Have been wanting to do Grace again for a while and can't muster more than 1 muscleup at a time....

We'll see how it goes.....

RESULTS:

Tuesday 2/3/09
3 RFT:
50 squats
21pushups
15 pullups
9 KB swings (used 35#DB)

Time: 9:42





Wednesday 2/4/09
"GRACE"
A month ago I used 115# and finished the 30 CandJ in 4:15
Today, I bumped up to 125# and finshed in 4:14.
Not as much time improvement but I bumped up 10 extra pounds this time. Hopefully next time I can use the Rx weight.
