I'm very new to crossfit. I have a quick question regarding reps. I'll use yesterday's WOD as an example:
30-25-20-15-10 and 5 rep rounds of: Burpee L Pull-up Is that 30 reps of burpees and then 30 pull-ups...? Do I do as many sets to get to 30? I read the faqs and there was nothing in there. Any help would be appreciated. |

From the *first* question in the FAQ:
Back to literal: if the WOD says 21-15-9 reps of bench and pullups in "rounds" (or any two or three exercises as given) you do 21 reps of exercise 1, followed by 21 reps of exercise 2, and 21 reps of exercise 3 if there is a third one. Now do 15 of the first, 15 of the second...9 of the first, 9 of the second. |

It happens Jim. Three suggestions for you:
1. Bookmark and commit to memory Lynne's outstanding FAQ: http://www.mitymous.net/weights/xfitfaq.htm 2. Read the FREE introductory issue of the CF Journal, and DEFINITELY subscribe...it's literally the best $25 you will spend on fitness-related stuff for the next year: http://www.crossfit.com/cf-download/CFJ-trial.pdf 3. Familiarize yourself with the search function back here in the message board. As a new guy, you'll have plenty of questions...it's likely they've already been answered 5 times before. It's faster to search for the answer rather than waiting for someone to read/respond to a new post/thread. Welcome to CF. |
