Did you buy them with a credit card? If so, call your credit card company and tell them the situation. If they want to keep your business they will credit you back the charges and go after the company themselves, sort of like if someone stole your card an racked up charges. If you don't get anywhere at first, start working your way up the food chain.

Most credit card companies can reverse charges up to six months after the purchase date (some will go out a year) provided there is a legitimate reason. Not receiving the merchandise would definitely qualify. As the other poster commented, just contact your card provider and explain what is going on. You may be required to fill out a form, but you'll get your money back.

complain to CA state auditor's office.. The auditor office loves complaints like these. If the company is willing to screw over customers, then most likely they are trying to screw the state out of taxes. And they will look at the books of the company under an electron microscope. Be sure to direct them to the website just posted.
Creating heaven on earth: one deadlift session at a time.

Re: be careful buying equipment

Jim, I also thought of saving some money and ordered a 24" plyo box from William Mann at Cal-Exercise last August. The box was finally sent in January after the credit card company was contacted to dispute the payment. The credit card company in turn contacted Pay Pal. During the ensuing months between August and November, I spoke with the vendor by phone and exchanged e-mails. He was pleasant enough, but usually had an excuse or told me the box was being sent “out tomorrow.” In mid-December he stopped returning calls or e-mails. There were several other complaints found on the internet. However, once it was finally received I found he produced a very nice product-but it still was not worth all the grief.

I humbly ask forgiveness from the usual and excellent crossfit vendors discussed in the boards, such as C2, rogue, garage gym store, muscle driver, again faster, ironmind and others. I learned my lesson.

Re: be careful buying equipment

I agree with all of the above posts about contacting the credit card company. The credit card companies have a fair and simple system for dealing with these situations and it saves a lot of time and frustration to just call them if a vendor is giving you the run around.
