Ken:

I'm in San Antonio and would be glad to help get a group together.

Back in Feb, a couple of Lacross players at Trinity Univ. tried to get us started. Due to some initial schedule conflicts we didn't get anything going. Maybe now we can.

Drop me an e-mail and I'll share the names of interested folks that I still have (5 names, 6 with you). We can try this again.

Regards,

Brendan

I am down. Why dont we start a Suffer on Saturday group. Trinity would be great. I would also recommend Woodlawn lake. I live in the Woodlawn area.

Brendan send out an e-mail to a number of people. This message board might be the easiest way to communicate to everyone.

Woodlawn sounds ok. Do they have a chinning bar? I don't have any gear to bring. Although, once I know there's a core of people, I'm willing to see what I can get ahold of.

Are we shooting for this Saturday, say around 9 o'clock?

Ken,

I am pretty sure they have a chinning bar. Woodlawn lake is only a suggestion. I have a 20pd medicine ball, olympic bar with weights that I will be glad to bring.

Even if it is just the three of us, I say we give it a shot.

I am down for this Saturday but I have a meeting at 9:30 am. This is a rare occurance. So if we could meet in the blazing sun 12:00 that would be great.

The two guys from Trinity are home for the Summer and can't participate until school starts again.

But, we have four available and interested (Ken, Brendan, Albert, and Chris).

Earlier is better for me this Saturday. Do we want to try to start this weekend or wait until next Sat?

It's beginning to look like the 3 June might be the best. I'm going to go down to Woodlawn lake this weekend and see what's there. Might see if there's anything at St. Mary's or UTSA. I don't know what would be the most central area, since I don't know where everyone is. I'm out in Helotes.

I"m 54 y.o. 5'10, 160lb. I have been a runner, swimmer, biker all my life. I can blow the endurance stuff out of the water. The upper body stuff I struggle with. Esp since I'm recovering from a broken collar bone. I'm an anesthesiologist and have most weekends free.

It would be nice to have at least a chinning bar. We can do our own WOD, if there isn't the equip We need. When I was out in San Diego in Feb we did 160 squats, 100 pushup and 50 chinups, with a 1/4 mile run on both ends. Had about 10 people there.

We can figure out something, but it would be nice to have a chinning bar. CrossFit should be renamed, ChinFit.
