Are the wrists to be vertical when catching the bar or are they to be bent backwards in a similiar raduis, ulnar, metacarpals angle as is seen in the clean?

Ignore the periods (.) the spaces won't hold without them.
ie....|....hand..............or...._....hand
......()...forearm................()....forearm

I think the bar should be directly above your radius/ulna. Put your fingers and thumb in a "V" (side view). Thumb and fingers at a 45 angle to your forearm. The point of the "V" should be directly above your wrist and the bar should sit in the point.

If your hand is cocked back (fingers parallel to the floor and thumb pointing up)the weight will create a moment (torque) around your wrist. Bad.

I think this is right.

Thanks Lincoln! Thats what I was always told but I have not snatched much in awhile and wanted to double check after seeing a few videos online.
