Re-arranging meal times..

Thanks to some help from Elliot Fuller I've worked out I should be on 16 blocks for my zone prescription... was vastly overestimating the protein needed!

Now I have my blocks at the moment as:

Breakfast - 4
Lunch -4
Afternoon snack - 2
Dinner - 4
Evening snack - 2

I know it's probably just a matter of making sure I get the required blocks daily but if I put it so I take out my evening snack and place it in between Breakfast and Lunch (i.e. right after my WOD) Would that still be okay? thanks guys!!

Re: Re-arranging meal times..

Yes, you can do that.

That is pretty much my diet to a "t"

The following times are approximate, to give you a frame of reference:

4 block breakfast @ 6:00
2 block snack @ 10:00
4 block lunch @ 1:30
2 block snack @ 5:00
4 block dinner @ 9:00

I'm still awed at the ability of all the people here to get out of bed so really early in the morning!

lol, I think I'm programmed to be up that early now... "must get up in time to do WOD before work..."

Re: Re-arranging meal times..

Neil,
You can really eat whenever. Zone can be more flexible than most make it.

If you want to follow a 5-5-5-1 scheme of some sort, that'd be fine. Or 4-4-4-4... or the one you've got.

If that didn't work, then all those who follow IF, with a Zone bias or not, would be ill and underperforming.

Tinker around. What you've got looks good, but feel free to tinker to give yourself more freedom from food.

I still don't know how I did it every morning for 4 years for practice (up at 4:15)
