Measuring Zone Blocks

I have been zoning for a few months and have seen some great results. I recently decided I wanted to take it to the next level and start weighing my food. At this point should I be counting grams of proteins that come from vegetables or fats that come from meat or fish?

Re: Measuring Zone Blocks

Not unless you want this to become your day job. Focus on weighing the dominant nutrient. Use a variety of food sources so that it will balance out. Plug a typical day into fitday.com to see that you are on target. Good luck.

Re: Measuring Zone Blocks

No, those are just free calories the zone diet doesn't account for.

What you want to weight is your chicken, beef, broccoli, carrots, beans etc., to make sure you are eating the exact amount of blocks/oz. prescribed. People misjudge serving size and really mess the ratio up by not weighing/measuring the food.
