My left knee started hurting chronically about 2 months ago after doing a bunch of body weight squats. Prior to that I used to experience my knee locking up on rare occasions when kneeling or squatting.

Now if I am sitting and my leg is bent it seems to get really stiff and is painful to stretch. Or, if I cross my leg it seems to freeze in the cross position and becomes painful. At times it feels as if it is pinching behind the knee cap. If I stand over an object and push on it with my heal I sometimes feel pain in my leg behind the knee.

Today I was doing Saturdays WOD and when I got to doing the squats I was unable to go beyond 225 lbs regardless of the reps. Normally I can go up to around 300.

So my question is, does this sound like the symptoms of a meniscus tear?
