We have competition grade bumpers from various brands at my affiliate (Eusaka, Pendlay Elite, etc). If we were talking about those, I'd agree.
Dude, where are you buying your iron?

I bought 560+ lbs of iron for about $150.

I especially like iron for deadlifts. It helps people learn how to stop bouncing their effing deads.

Re: Advice: What to get next?

Hi Chris,

Chris here from Old School Equipment out of Montreal.
Here are my thoughts:
- Rower for sure! I am working on getting a bunch of orders together so that I can get a good quantity into Canada at a better rate. Let me know!
- A pair of 35lb or 40lb dumbbells. Ever try Fran with DBs for thrusters? Or Grace?
- For the plyo box, we use a 3-in-1 box we put together for our gyms. It's a combo 18", 20", 24". If you're a bit of a handy man, you can make it yourself, otherwise, ours are quite bomb-proof.
- 20# med ball would be worth it. You could go with the Wright med balls and save a bit of money.
- Slamballs add an entirely new dimension to your WODs
- Also check out the NEW Sled Barrow: it's a 3-in-1 push sled, pull sled and wheel barrow (like at the 2010 games!). It'll work well with the metal plates you plan on getting.

Would be happy to help you out on the order...especially since we are so close to Ontario.

Cheers
Chris

The Play It Again Sports in your area must be jacking up prices like crazy. The one near me sells iron weights for 50 cent a pound, but Craigslist is always the way to go for me.

Re: Advice: What to get next?

It was $1.50 here, which pretty much sucks.
