Had an interesting thing happen. A friend of mine and I were doing some hiking/rock scrambling about 1000 vertical feet last week. Him being 6'2 and 209 and me being 5'10'' and 209. I"m still a slow hiker because of the extra 25-30lbs on my body but an interesting thing happened. I challenged him to a short race up the boulder path and when we got to the top he was completely winded and I was still breathing fine. It suddenly hit me that Crossfit has dramatically increase my anaerobic threshold over someone who has only long endurance like conditioning. Once I get the 25lbs off he's toast.

Sweet! Good work Kevin. It's always nice when you realize that you have more energy and stamina than you thought, especially when you need it most. Keep up the good work and congrads ahead of time on burning off the remaining 25lbs. I know that you can do it. At 45 it feels good to have no problem doing my job and then some on my department along with the other 20 and 30 something firefighters thanks to my CF workouts.
