Which watch to swim with????

Hi everyone,
I have been incorporating Crossfit Endurance into my training regime and was just wondering how everyone times their swimming intervals??? as the timing on the intervals can range from 30secs right up to 6mins.
Should i just stop occasionally and look at my watch or can someone recommend a good watch that i can program the session into and is waterproof? considering i will be able to hear the stop/go alarm underwater.

Thanks everyone

I've got a Nike triax sprint 50. 5 stage interval timer is decent. I can hear it under water (if I'm listening for it).
I don't do intervals in the water, but it might just work for you. Mine was $90 canadian, bought locally. good to 100m of h2o.
Alternately, you can get earphones that work under water and make a track that has the intervals on it...but that seems like a bit of work unless you know what you're doing.

Timex Ironman is what I use, just a pretty basic sports watch with lap/splits up to 100 I think. It's probably got more features that I don't use too...

Do they have underwater mp3 players now? Or water proof cases for mp3 players? (I don't think I'd trust those for my iPod.)

The Timex Ironman will work. You will be able to hear the beeps when you are swimming. Do not push the buttons on the watch while it is under water. Doing this will cause the watch to stop working. The watch is water resistant not waterproof. Good Luck!
