Good idea, but I think I am really not even ready for that. When I say my triceps are weak, I am not kidding!! Its not a muscle I work in climbing, :-(

I will consider it next time though!! Thanks.

Worked on the snatch with a 35 lb bar. Not really sure if I am doing it right, but did single and double lifts for about 25 minutes. Felt better as I progressed. Strong enough for the 45 lb bar, but dang, over head squats are a completely different cup-o-tea and I about fell over my first try!

I had a nice self-giggle at the gym though...at the woman behind me that was doing an exercise that I can only explain as itching the back of her knee with a 10 pound bar bell. I think she thinks she was working her obliques! She had some crazy exercises!! I can only imagine what she thought of me.

I am going to go with 'today's workout was rather pathetic'...

It was my first Angie, but I just could not get my butt into any sort of gear (I almost didn't go, so I guess I should give myself props for that at least!)...

Took me 39 minutes:
100 pull-ups all assisted - first 30 at 60lbs, second 30 at 65lbs, and last 40 at 70lbs
100 push-ups all on knees - first 50 on the floor, second 50 on a 6 inch riser
100 sit-ups on the ball - I think I can get close to a GHD like sit up by doing them straight legged on the ball. As ANY recline basically beats me up, I think its a good start.
100 squats - should have pushed through, but as I said, was NOT motivated today :-(

Need to find a partner!!

WOD - modified 28:28

Ran 8.5 minute miles for the first 3 sets, had to walk some of the 4th due to a cramp, and for all intensive purposes walked the entire 5th set (made myself do 3/10 of a mile instead)

Thrusters were 30lbs. I tried starting with 35lbs, but it was just too much. As it was all the set were broken into smaller sets of 10.

(rxed 5 sets of 400m run and 30X65# thrusters for time)

Learned O-lifts today. Was at the gym from 11:30 to 2:30. I am BEAT with a capital B!!

Did snatches, squats, and cleans. I think I like the clean-n-jerk the most though snatches, when I do them right, are neat too!

Not really looking forward to back squats tomorrow, OUCH!

warm-up 500m row (2:02)

115lb round 1
125lb round 2-5
115lb round 6-8 (lost count, but I am fairly sure I did an extra round)...

then practiced some clean/jerks and snatches

could go heavier, but still not quite sure about my form. Made some small adjustments at the end (wider stance) and it felt a lot better.

One hour of work on snatches, with a little work on just the deadlift (clean hand position), and then dips.

Tomorrow is back to rx.

warm-up - air snatches

modified WOD to jumping pull-ups rather than rope climb or rope pull-ups (just can't do the rope pull-ups at all... hand is still out of commission from a pulley tear) and 30 single under's rather than 15 doubles. I just couldn't get the rope to behave for doubles. Box (aka the bench for the picnic table) jumps at 16".

4 sets plus jump rope and box jumps (though I did failed, but tried, to start my watch and thats what I think was 20 minutes)

(rx - 15 doubles, 15 box jumps, 15 burpees, 15' rope climb)
