Clock Gone Bad/ No Limits Clock

I purchased a clock gone bad from Muscle Driver USA about a year ago. It never seemed to work quite right- the remote only worked from about 15 ft out and sometimes it would freeze in the middle of a wod and need to be unplugged. The other day, it stopped working all together. I contacted Muscle Driver and was told we could not get an exchange or refund since it had been more than 90 days. Needless to say I was pretty disappointed Muscle Driver won't stand behind their product... a $160 clock should last longer than this.

After researching clocks, it sounds like the No Limits Clock is a good choice. However, I am skeptical because it's made by Muscle Driver and I told myself I would never get another product manufactured by them. Are there any other good wall clocks out there? If not, has anyone had problem with their No Limits Clock?

Re: Clock Gone Bad/ No Limits Clock

I had the title fight timer at my old place and it was awesome. Took a bit to figure out, but once you do it's great. Mind you it's a little more than $160.

No Limit Timer:

Works great, but the remote range is weak and it's expensive ($300). Who cares. I can see why you're skeptical of MD though.

Re: Clock Gone Bad/ No Limits Clock

no limits timer = awesome

had it for a few weeks now, it's great, done every kind of timing i could think of:

count up
count down
short intervals
long intervals
fight gone bad
set it up to time 5 minute MMA rounds

keeping track of the rounds in the blue charachters is awesome

the 10 second countdown before starting the timing is great

numbers are HUGE and CLEAR, blind people can read this thing from across the gym

remote works great and from quite a distance if you are within 45 degree angle of face of timer on either side. if you are further than 45 degrees out on either side it is hit or miss. this is not a real problem, just something to keep in mind when you decide where to place the clock.

when you are not timing something you can use it as a regular clock or turn the display off completely.

i'm using timer for stuff i probably don't even need to just because it's so easy, programmed settings are easily repeatable, the next time you use a function it goes back to the most current setting, can't say enough good things.

Re: Clock Gone Bad/ No Limits Clock

Hey Hutch,
Do you know if the one you bought was a 1.0 or 2.0? There seems to be some upgrades they made to the 2.0. I'm fixin to buy one of these mainly cause they are less money than the No Limits, but we've got one here at work we use. We've had more problems with our C2 Rower puter. The clock is hung up outside at "H" and works pretty well. The customer service you encountered is pretty disheartening though. They're supposed to come with a 1 year warranty.
