Yesterday I received a phone call from Kris Hagar, SSG Josh Hagar's father.
He was very appreciative of the many, many kind words and condolences posted when his son , Josh, was killed in Iraq in February.
He told me he was in Sarasota and wanted to stop by our gym and do the workout named after his son, in honor of his son.
It was an extreme honor to have this man come to CrossFit Gulf Coast.
Our deepest gratitude and respect is held for his son, Josh, and the sacrifice he made for our nation.
Kris had never done a CF workout before, so we scaled it, and he did a great job on it.
We welcome Kris to the CrossFit family!
Here's a photo of Kris.

My condolences to Kris. I have never lost a family member to combat, but have lost, and seen some good friends die over there. Please pass on to him my deepest respect for his son's sacrifice, and my hearfelt sorrow for his loss.

What Jerry said, and thanks to Chris for your service, too. Hope to meet you if you can come by CF DC.
