Greetings from a newbie in Australia.

I have been following Crossfit for a couple months now, and just wanted to say thank you to everyone involved for providing such an awesome resource for the global community to enjoy and thrive on. I really enjoy the workouts and learning so much. There are no local affiliates where I am so my friends (whom I have quite proudly referred to Crossfit) and I rely on this network for support. So thank you again everyone for being there for strangers and family's you have never met or even heard of. It is an honour.

Hi Stuart
Nice to see more Aussies on the site.

If you even head south to Sydney drop in for a WOD.

Hi Stuart,

Anytime you are in Sydney drop in for a workout and a refreshing beverage afterwards.

Andrew can take care of the workout and i'll take care of the drinks.:whistling:

About half way between yourself Fiona, and Don & Andrew. I live in Toowoomba, QLD. Swiftfit/Crossfit Brisbane is my closest affiliate, and it is far enough away to rule out regular training of any sort from a practical point of view (about a 2 hour drive). Matt from there has been very welcoming though, hopefully we will catch up in the not to distant future. Ironically I will infact be in Sydney next month - twice. But only on my way through the airport. I spose I could try and get in a WOD in the transit lounge, but I don't think my co-passengers on the next flight would thank me afterwards.

Oh I love that singlet Fiona, kissing the clown is a regular joke around here these days lol.

That? lol That is only Table Top Mountain. There is this section on the way up where this is, at the longest section, maybe a 20 meter cliff like you see in the picture. But its easy if you just take your time to avoid all the loose rocks.

I live close enough to it that every now and then we do a trip in. Run\walk\hike it to the mountain (5km), hit the mountain as hard as you can (2km up and back), and run/walk/hike home (5km). So it is a pretty good trip. I like to add another 3k's on a unnecessary detour as well, but thats just me lol. We usually get home exhausted because the hill climbs are really long and painful, but I love doing it.

Sounds like fun, glad to hear that rock is not representative of all Australia rock climbing ;-) I was going to have to cancel my dream "road" trip.

Hey Stuart, I got your email and will get back to you really shortly ... sorry for the delay ... standby you will have an email soon.

Don't let Andrew take you to the oval if you get a chance to train in Sydney and watch out for the crazy european chick ... I am still recovering from the last time that they smashed me:-)
