Yep, Eric and Mike gave me a copy for review.

Short answer: it's awesome.
Long answer: it's REALLY awesome!

Seriously though, we use a lot of their mobility drills in our warmup and I've noticed significant improvements in just a few weeks.

The improvement that stands out the most is my triangle choke (put your left foot/ankle behind your right knee or vice versa - your legs make a "triangle"). Prior to using the mobility drills on a regular basis I had trouble maintaining a triangle without discomfort. Now I have zero issue.

As for the actual production, it's very well done. Two camera angles for each drill, precise coaching tips, etc.

I'll be writing a more indepth review before the end of the month. If I forget to post it over here, just hit me up with an email and I'll forward it to you.

Anthony,

Hey how did you get a copy for "review!" Think you can sneak me a copy while you're at it? haha

Where are you posting the review at? T-nation or another board?

I've been eyeing this DVD since it came out and I've been trying to hint to my wife this is what I want for Christmas, but since she hates ordering things online and this DVD isn't exactly at Best Buy. I might have to wait a little bit longer.

How often are you doing the mobility drills per week?

Rich,

This is definitely my next fitness purchase if I don't get it as a gift.

Thanks for your response, I read some of Eric Cressey's articles on his website and he seems like he knows what he is talking about. I was hesitant to spend $50.00 but since you think it is that good, perhaps I will buy it. Think he would give a discount to crossfitters?

Allen, I'm a mod/newsletter guy on another site (not t-nation). The owner gets me stuff to review once in awhile. But don't think I have to say nice things just because I got it free ... it really is a great dvd. I use the drills before and after every training session.

Rich, I spoke with Eric about Crossfit and while he didn't say anything negative, he didn't say anything positive. I'd be very surprised if he ever supported the community in the same fashion as other equipment suppliers. Sorry!

Keith, it's about 50-60 minutes, 30-35 drills focused on shoulders and hips, broken down into easy, medium, and difficult drills. I'm hoping to have something more by end of month, but let me know if you have any specific questions!

Thanks for the info. Looks very interesting and useful. Here's a link to the T-Nation thread for reviews and comments about the Magnificent Mobility DVD:

Check out the movement prep exercises from Mark Verstegen's "Core Performance". Very thorough and effective.

Excellent suggestion Thomas...I was actually about to post that link myself...it's all the functional dynamic movements that are great for increasing ROM and decreasing risk of injury
