I'm having problems keeping my leg straight on a number of exercises and I'm curious as to what this weakness is stemmed from.
I'm having to hold onto my foot of the raised leg while doing pistols.
My legs bend a bit while doing v-ups and lying hip swings.
Legs bend while doing L-sits.

From what I've read in the L-sit posts, it's a hip flexor weakness, correct? What's a way I can specifically target this problem? Practice practice practice? I want to address this issue mainly because I've had knee problems due to hip flexor weakness and inflexability.

No matter what the problem might be, it's most probably the result of inflexibility. So you'll need to stretch, stretch and stretch some more. You can do this anytime and doesn't have to be warmed up or anything, because contrary to what many think, you're not stretching the actual tissue as much as you're dulling the tension reflex that sets in when your body judges you're in a position that's not good for you. But before you just start stretching along, you'll need to read this:

You'll never need anything else regarding stretching, if you ask me.
