So I have discovered that Deadlift High Pull is an exercise I struggle very much with. I do not have a row machine so I end up with these. Suffice it so say, I have yet to complete a WOD when this exercise is included (And I even have difficulty with the bar alone!). Any suggestions, tips, etc that can help me improve?

Thanks

Think of it as a power clean without the catch.

Yep, yep. The drive up of the bar should be powered by the hips.

The slide-show for the Sumo Dead Lift High Pull at that link really helped me out heading into Tuesday's WOD.

Aha!! I was thinking of it more like a deadlift and an upright row..this makes a lot more sense!! I'll need to try it again.
