Re: Tabata Timer

Hans, I just downloaded the version with Bigger numbers. Works great. In fact, it looked so cool I just had to knock out a quick 6-round, Gant-style squat session here in my office: 19, 20, 18, 17, 14, 13

Thanks again for the program.

Re: Tabata Timer

I just found this the other day and used it. Great program....

My wife was wondering if Tabata was Japanese for "torture"...I assured her it was.

Re: Tabata Timer

For those of you with an iPhone,

If you dont want to hack your iPhone to enable third-party applications to run on your iPhone and you're looking for a timer that would work. I found an application for $ 0.99. I don't think you're allowed to plug applications or advertise for them on this forum, so I'll just say search for "Interval Timer" in the App store on your iPhone. There are two programs by the same company on there. A "Round timer" for boxing, and an "Interval timer" for interval training.

While the "interval timer" is designed exactly for things like tabata intervals. I went with the "round timer" and am happy with that choice. The round timer has a "warning bell" that the interval timer doesn't have. I like that.

Edit:
I'm posting this in this thread because I really like your tabata timer, but I've spent a bunch of time trying to figure out how to run it on my iPhone. I love the phone, but I hate how they walled themselves in regarding applications.

Andrew: thanks for your consideration in not posting a link, for fear that it would look too much like a "plug" or promotion. In this case, you should fire away and post it . . . I don't think the moderators will be offended.
